We offer various species of Live Edge slabs that have been kiln dried. We operate a low energy solar kiln modeled after the Virginia Tech design. Drying lumber with this solar kiln is very gentle process resulting in unstressed lumber and allows it to retain its original, natural color. Kiln drying is simply a process that allows the wood to reach extremely low moisture content in a controlled manner. We cut our slabs with our Woodmizer LT 40 saw mill.
